03-06-2009 Update

Tue Jun 2, 2009, 1:50 PM
Hi everyone,

I have had a stressful but productive last few months (no art though *sigh*). Study is calming down I only have an exam left for this semester which I am trying not to stress about (not working). Work is crazy at the moment, I seem to have far too many things to accomplish in the twenty six hours a week I work.
I have taken over library club which is only once a month. Matariki is happening this month so there are displays, posters and storytimes to organise as well as staff to whip into shape on how to pronounce "kia ora".
At the end of this month I am hoping to have some free time to myself so that I can do some art. I am on leave at the moment so hopefully I can squeeze something out of my self.

Anyway how are you all? I hope you are well and life is treating you good. I have been trying to keep up to date with what you are all doing and from what I can see you all are leaping ahead in your art.

Take care

Ah, you're alive! Good to hear!
Exams, on the other hand...not so good to hear. In fact, they just suck. xD

Sounds like you're getting a lot done, too. What paper is the exam for?

Hmmm, is that the new Manson album you're listening to? Is it... any good? I was very disappointed by his last one, but I'm tentatively thinking of giving him another chance. :)

Well in New Zealand where I live we have two main Languages English and Te Reo Maori (or Maori). There are white people in New Zealand and darker skin whats the word "Indigenous" people who are known as Maori and speak Te Reo Maori "Kia Ora" is an informal greeting and "Matariki" is there new year, which occurs on the rising on the Matariki stars which are also known at the Subaru stars in Japan.
I am part Maori and so can speak some of the language but it is one of those languages that can be easilt bucthered.

Sorry for the long answer ^^

I don´t mind it being long. what´s more, I was expecting and hoping it to be so.
there´s some more information I can say I know about maori culture, besides the haka (only as seen performed by the all blacks... and the samoans).
thanks for that, ms. see you... or could I say kia ora instead? can it be used as a hello and goodbye greeting as well?

That sounds promising.

Ah, so you're going to be a lettered librarian! You'll be able to say "Stand back!" when crowds cluster around a man collapsed in the street under the weight of Chaucer or Beckett. :)
